About

Exciting stories and interesting worlds.

What’s the writer’s story?

I’ve loved stories almost all my life. Especially sci-fi and fantasy stories, the kind that show a world filled with amazing things, amazing magic, and amazing rules. I love it when that world makes sense, and you can pinpoint exactly why it is the way it is.

So naturally, I’ve been reading for most of my life. But that’s not all: I’ve also been writing for most of it too. Sometimes attempts at a full story, sometimes just snippets that occurred to me in a moment. I didn’t really write with a plan, or with any intentions to publish. But one day, while I was near the end of my Bachelor’s degree, I realized that one of the stories in my head was awesome. So awesome that I definitely had to write it, to properly give it form. And then I thought: maybe I should go all the way with this, and publish it fully. I wrote that story as my finished my Bachelor’s degree, kept at it as I completed my Master’s and began my biology PhD. And as I worked to build it, to make it make sense and fit together like some of my favorite reads, I realized why I wanted to start publishing.

To put it simply, I want to share the worlds and stories in my head with other people. I want to know what they’d do in these worlds I’ve dreamed up, how they’d use and/or exploit the power systems I’ve created. I want to talk with people about these ideas that excite me, that hopefully excite them as well. I want to see what I inspire them to make, their own stories. Getting someone to make fanart would really be the dream, for example. That’s when you know you’ve inspired someone.

So, to sum up: I write to share, just like all the stories I’ve read shared with me.
